During an AAP protest in Gujarat, there were violent skirmishes at the BJP office, and 70 people were arrested.

After spending ten days in jail for protesting outside the BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar, at least 65 Aam Aadmi Party leaders, including state president Gopal Italia, were granted bail by a court in Gandhinagar on Thursday afternoon. Ten college students are among those imprisoned.

"The court has today granted bail to the 65 AAP leaders who have been detained at Sabarmati Central Jail since December 20." We have yet to obtain a copy of the bail order, but I expect they would be released by tonight," said Pranav Thakkar, AAP Gujarat's legal counsel.

Police rushed to the scene after learning of the clashes and used lathi-charge to control the situation, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police M.K. Rana, who added that many AAP workers and leaders, including Gopal Italia and Isudan Gadhvi, were detained.

While the BJP accused AAP members of instigating violence on their property, Arvind Kejriwal's party alleged the ruling party utilised local police to beat its workers.

"We went to the BJP headquarters to file a complaint about the document leak. BJP workers and policemen attacked AAP members, despite the fact that our protest was nonviolent. Several of our employees were seriously injured. We intend to file a complaint with the court "Gujarat AAP spokesman Yogesh Jadvani said.

About 500 AAP supporters organised a protest outside the BJP's Shree Kamalam office in Gandhinagar, and those arrested were among them. They requested that Asit Vora, a BJP official and the chairman of the Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), which administered the exam to hire head clerks, be removed.

On December 12, 88,000 candidates took the written exam to compete for 186 positions. The question paper was allegedly leaked and sold in advance for Rs 8-12 lakh, according to the AAP. While the government later cancelled the exam and rescheduled it for March 2022, the police arrested 18 people suspected of being involved in the scheme.
The protest sparked a brawl between AAP and BJP workers, prompting the police to use a lathicharge to disperse the crowd
